This file is a digital geospatial Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) ArcGIS feature class that contains point features of cemeteries in Cook County, Illinois. A cemetery point feature is based upon the centroid of the complete property boundary of a cemetery polygon feature. Where a cemetery is constituted by a multi-part polygon, the cemetery point is located in a centralized location between all the polygons that constitute that complete cultural feature area. This dataset is projected using the Transverse Mercator map projection. The grid coordinate system used is the Illinois State Plane Coordinate System (Zone Number 1201), NAD83 with ground coordinates expressed in U.S. Survey Feet. |
