Description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>This file is a digital geospatial Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) ArcGIS feature dataset that contains point and polygon feature classes of various Emergency Telephone Systems Board (ETSB) GIS datasets for Cook County Sheriff Police Department. The data are stored as either point or polygon feature classes, and each is saved to an ESRI ArcGIS Version 9.2 geodatabase. The feature dataset contains several feature classes which describe, from the perspective of the ETSB, the following features: City (municipality) boundaries, Common Places, Cook County Sheriff "beats," Vehicle Towing boundaries, Fire Department boundaries, Forest Preserve District of Cook County (FPDCC) boundaries, Remote Sites, Report Districts, and (State) Police boundaries. 1) City feature class The City feature class interprets, describes and locates all Cities in Cook County, Illinois. Attribution included in this feature class includes City and Municipality name. 2) Common Places feature class The Common Places feature class describes and locates places commonly known to the general public and emergency personnel in Cook County, Illinois. Attribution included in this feature class includes the name of the place, an address, and City name. 3) Sheriff "Beat" feature class The Sheriff "beat" feature class interprets, describes and locates Sheriff jurisdictions in Cook County Illinois. Attribution included in this feature class includes the sheriff police "beat" name. 4) Vehicle Towing feature class The Vehicle Towing feature class interprets, describes and locates vehicle towing agency jurisdictions in Cook County, Illinois. Attribution included in this feature class includes the name of the vehicle towing agency and the ETSB speed dial number. 5) Fire Department feature class The Fire Department feature class interprets, describes and locates fire protection districts jurisdictions in unincorporated areas of Cook County, Illinois. Attribution included in this feature class includes the name, Emergency Service Number and telephone number of the responding fire department. 6) FPDCC feature class The FPDCC boundaries feature class interprets, describes and locates FPDCC jurisdictions in unincorporated areas of Cook County, Illinois. Attribution included in this feature class includes the FPDCC police "beat." 7) Remote Sites feature class The Remote Sites feature class interprets, describes and locates communities that utilize ETSB dispatch services in Cook County, Illinois. Attribution included in this feature class includes the name of the police "beat" responsible for servicing the remote site. 8) Report Districts feature class The Report Districts feature class describes and locates Sheriff boundaries that are used for the purposes of incident reporting in Cook County, Illinois. Attribution included in this feature class includes Township, Range, Section, Quarter-section and Half-Quarter. 3) Police feature class The Police feature class interprets, describes and locates State Police jurisdictions in Cook County Illinois. Attribution included in this feature class includes the State Police District name. This dataset is projected using the Transverse Mercator map projection. The grid coordinate system used is the Illinois State Plane Coordinate System (Zone Number 1201), NAD83 with ground coordinates expressed in U.S. Survey Feet.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
